Frequently asked questions
What do you need from me for a quote?
The collection and delivery addresses, what the goods are, their weight and dimensions, and their value. If the commodity carries any special requirement, tell us at the start — it usually brings documents with it, and documents are what stretch a transit.
What happens to the details I put in the form?
They do not reach this website. The form assembles what you typed into an email and hands it to your own email programme, addressed to general@generalcargo.com.tr — nothing is stored here, and no third party sees it. You can read the message before you send it.
Do you carry dangerous goods?
No, on any lane. If your consignment is classified under ADR you need a forwarder with the licence and the equipment for it, and we would rather say so at the enquiry stage than at the loading bay.
Do you publish rates?
No, and we would be sceptical of anyone who does for this kind of freight. A part-load price depends on weight and dimensions, where the goods are collected, the customs effort involved and what is being shipped. A published figure would be either a guess or a number with conditions attached that you find out later.
In which languages can I write to you?
English, Turkish, German or Italian.
